This November 11th 2026 "Veterans' Day" @ 7 PM the Star Valley Historical Society invites the public to gather at the Civic Center in Afton WY for a special program. Also planned, personal experiances of Merlin Wall Jensen of Fairview who survived the battle in the Argonne Forest. There will be more local stories from the Vietnam War that inspired the movie "WE WERE SOLDIERS" staring Mel Gibson, Sam Elliott & Barry Pepper as Joe Galloway.
