Synopsis
Dialog-driven narration is used in this book. The history of the Albion State Normal School is given as the author responds to questions and comments made by a fictitious person. The stated and obvious purpose seems to be explain why the school was wrongfully closed in 1951. The Albion State Normal School, later known as Southern Idaho College of Education, was established in 1893 in Cassia County in south central Idaho. It’s first president, F.A. Swanger was selected in 1894. The author puts forth possible events and circumstances that resulted in the closing of the school. Included are names and brief histories of the presidents of the school as well as faculty members. Pocatello, a town larger than Albion, was considered by some to be a better location for the school.
