Synopsis
Built about 1908 by Grandpa Charley Stoker St. - Dana St. - Floyd & Fayone Brown owners. This barn is also part of the Barn Again Project #75. From the March 2005 SVHS Calendar. Floyd & Fayone Brown Barn (Thayne) "Barn was built from wood sawed from logs cut by hand & hauled out of the mountains by teams & sleighs and wagons in about 1910. Barn was built by Charley Stoker, Sr. and was typical for the Star Valley area. The purpose of the barn was for horses, dairy cows and lambs. Current use is mostly for storage. There has been no changes in the design, just general repair. It works well for farming operations consisting of 216 acres - hay, some pasture & raising sheep."
