Synopsis
William Walton Burton Barn - Built between 1900-1910 - Lloyd & Bonnie Burton. This barn is part of the Barn Again Project #6 or #06. From the August 2004 SVHS Calendar states Lloyd Burton Barn (Afton) "Barn was built between 1900 and 1910 by William Walton Burton Co. and was known as the "Burton Dairy Barn" Built of local lumber from the head of Stumpp Creek. William took a tent up there & stayed all summer to cut logs & haul them to the sawmill in Auburn. Roof was later replaced with the same type as the experimental farm barn. Current use is for storage and to house beef cattle and calver. When the Burtons built this barn they had several creameries around the valley and also had a mercantile store in Afton"
