Synopsis
Built in 1931 by Dick Sanderson & Family - stateline road north of Freedom. From the January 2005 SVHS Calender. Donnie Sanderson Barn (Freedom) "This barn was built in 1937 of red pine lumber, with a concrete foundation and a tin roof to let the snow slide off easier. Built by William Sanderson and Swede Robinson. Design is typical for Star Valley. Current use is for a calving operation & shelter for cows. Milk stanchions were removed and pens were made for cows to calve in. It works well and we want to keep it for a long time. Farm consists of 200 acres of alfalfa & grass & beef is raised."
