Synopsis
This very brief account is about William Joshua Crook and Harriet Jane Howell who settled in Smoot in 1888 on property claimed by William Joshua the previous year. Here they faced the challenges of pioneer life in Star Valley such as harsh winters and lack of medical attention. They raised a large family while serving in the community and in the Church. They were among those who witnessed the progress made before and after the turn of the century. *From an article printed in the 1930 & 1987 Star Valley Independent. *Three photos
